Precision CNC Machining & Laser Marking

Permanent Traceability for High-Value, Mission-Critical Components

At AXALLOY Precision, we specialize in manufacturing complex components from difficult-to-machine alloys. We provide in-house Laser Marking alongside our advanced 5-axis CNC milling and turning capabilities, delivering finished, fully traceable parts directly to your engineering, procurement, and quality teams.

Precision laser marking on machined difficult-alloy component

Complete Manufacturing & Traceability Under One Roof

For aerospace, medical, and energy applications, a part isn't finished until it's properly identified. Buying complex parts from one supplier and sending them to another for laser marking adds supply chain risk, increases lead times, and jeopardizes quality control.

We handle the entire process. From cutting raw Inconel or Titanium to the final laser marking of part numbers, heat codes, and 2D matrix barcodes, we ensure strict process control and full material traceability from prototype through low-volume repeat production.

Vendor Consolidation

We machine, finish, and laser mark your parts. No secondary outsourcing required.

Material Integrity

We understand how difficult alloys behave. Our laser marking parameters are strictly controlled to ensure clear, permanent marks without compromising the surface integrity or fatigue life of critical components.

Full Compliance

We mark exactly to your 2D drawing specifications—whether you require serialization, lot traceability, or custom branding.

Our Laser Marking & Machining Capabilities

We support OEMs, Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers, and engineering firms with a full suite of precision manufacturing services.

Laser Marking Specifications

  • Supported Markings: Alphanumeric text, serial numbers, lot/heat numbers, QR codes, DataMatrix codes, and company logos.
  • Marking Types: Surface annealing (no material removal, ideal for medical/clean environments) and deep engraving.
  • Precision Placement: Accurate positioning on complex contours, cylindrical surfaces, and precision-machined faces.

Core CNC Machining Capabilities

  • Multi-Axis Milling: 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC milling for complex contours and thin walls (Minimum wall thickness: 0.5 mm).
  • Precision Turning & Mill-Turn: Up to 9-axis control for multi-feature rotational components.
  • Tight Tolerances: Precision dimensional tolerances down to ±0.005 mm and concentricity down to 0.008 mm.
  • Surface Finishes: Standard Ra 1.6 μm, precision machined down to Ra 0.8 μm, and precision ground down to Ra 0.2 μm.

Expertise in Difficult-to-Machine Alloys

Laser marking and machining standard aluminum is easy. We focus on the hard stuff. We evaluate material behavior, geometry, and surface requirements before defining the manufacturing and marking process for:

Nickel-Based Superalloys

Inconel (718, 625, 600 series), Hastelloy (C-276, C-22), Monel, and Haynes alloys.

Titanium Alloys

Grade 2, Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V), and Grade 23 (Medical).

High-Performance Stainless Steels

17-4 PH, 15-5 PH, 316L, and 400 series.

Duplex & Specialty Metals

Super Duplex 2507, Cobalt Chrome, MP35N, Nitinol, and A286.

Uncompromising Quality & Documentation

We know that for our customers in highly regulated industries, the paperwork is just as important as the part. The laser-marked identification on your component will tie directly back to our comprehensive quality records.

Inspection

Temperature-controlled CMM inspection (Accuracy up to 1.8 + L/300 μm), optical measurement, and surface roughness testing.

Documentation Provided

Material Test Reports (MTR), Certificates of Conformance (CoC), First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, Full Dimensional Inspection Reports, and Special Process Records.

Traceability

100% material and lot traceability, permanently laser marked onto your components per your specifications.
