Our Production Process Development Methodology

When you submit an RFQ to AXALLOY, we don't just "hit print." Our engineering team evaluates material behavior, geometry, tolerances, surface requirements, and production volume to define a bulletproof machining strategy.

1. Engineering Review & DFM Feedback

Before a single chip is cut, we conduct a thorough review of your 3D models and 2D drawings. We provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback, review critical tolerances (down to ±0.005 mm), and identify potential risks in machining difficult-to-machine alloys.

2. Machining Strategy & Fixture Planning

We develop a customized manufacturing route. Whether it requires 5-axis milling for complex contours, 9-axis mill-turn for rotational components, or Wire EDM for sharp internal corners, we define the toolpaths, cutting parameters, and design custom fixturing to prevent distortion in thin-walled or high-stress materials.

3. Prototyping & First Article Inspection (FAI)

We run an initial batch (1–20 parts) to validate the production process. Every critical feature is verified in our temperature-controlled inspection room using advanced CMM and optical measurement equipment. We provide a comprehensive First Article Inspection (FAI) report for your quality team's approval.

4. Process Lock & Controlled Repeat Production

Once the prototype is validated, the manufacturing process is "locked." CNC programs, tool selections, fixture setups, and inspection plans are standardized. This ensures absolute consistency whether you are ordering a low-volume run of 50 parts or a batch production of 10,000+ components.
