Hastelloy X CNC Machining
Precision Components for Demanding Environments
When your project requires components that can withstand extreme temperatures and corrosive environments, Hastelloy X is often the material of choice. However, its high work-hardening rate and toughness make it notoriously difficult to machine.
At AXALLOY Precision, we specialize in Hastelloy X CNC machining. We provide engineering, procurement, and quality teams with a stable, controlled manufacturing process—taking your complex, high-value components from prototype validation through controlled repeat production.
We do not compete on producing commodity parts at the lowest unit price. Instead, we focus on manufacturability, tight tolerances, and complete documentation, ensuring the parts you receive work exactly as intended in your assembly.
What You Get When You Machine Hastelloy X With Us
Machining high-temperature superalloys requires rigid setups, specialized tooling, and optimized tool paths to manage heat and tool wear. Here is how our capabilities translate into direct benefits for your project:
Complex Geometries with Fewer Setups
Using our 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC milling centers, we machine complex contours, deep pockets, and thin walls (down to 0.5 mm). By utilizing 5-axis and mill-turn technology, we machine multiple sides of a Hastelloy X part in a single setup.
For your engineering team: This means tighter positional tolerances, perfectly aligned critical interfaces, and a lower risk of stacked dimensional errors.
Predictable Lead Times for Your Development Cycle
We understand that waiting on delayed prototypes halts your entire R&D schedule. We offer prototype lead times of 5–10 business days and standard production in 10–20 days.
By delivering precise Hastelloy X parts on a dependable schedule, we help your team validate designs faster, complete testing phases on time, and move into low-volume production without supply chain bottlenecks.
Features Standard Machining Cannot Reach
Hastelloy X is tough on cutting tools, making sharp internal corners or deep, narrow slots difficult to achieve. We integrate Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, and precision grinding into our workflow.
This allows you to design parts with internal corner radii down to R0.05 mm and surface finishes down to Ra 0.2 μm, knowing we have the in-house technology to actually manufacture them.
DFM Feedback Before We Cut Metal
Before production begins, we evaluate your geometry, tolerances, and surface requirements against the specific behavior of Hastelloy X.
If we spot a tolerance that will drive up costs unnecessarily or a feature that risks part distortion, we provide actionable Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback, saving your procurement team money and preventing future production headaches.

Quality Control & Traceability You Can Rely On
For aerospace, energy, and medical applications, a part is only as good as the documentation that proves its quality. We support supplier quality engineers and quality managers by providing transparent, audit-ready documentation.
Our temperature-controlled inspection room features CMM measurement (up to 1.8 + L/300 μm accuracy), optical measurement, and hardness testing.
