Titanium Grade 2 is commercially pure (CP) titanium prized for its exceptional corrosion resistance in chloride and acid environments, superior biocompatibility, and high strength-to-weight ratio. Due to low thermal conductivity and chemical reactivity at high temperatures, machining Grade 2 titanium demands rigid machine tooling, dedicated carbide geometries, optimized high-pressure chip evacuation, and careful feed rate monitoring to avoid work hardening and galling.
